The 13th Annual Pounding the Pavement for Pink 5k will be held Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 9 AM in Seymour. Registration for this year’s event will open July 1st at 9 AM EST online on RunSignUp. Learn More & Register on RunSignUp Our 5k Road Race is a special event drawing thousands of runners, walkers and spectators all committed to one cause: honor & recognition of our loved ones who have heard the words “You have breast cancer” Pounding the Pavement for Pink started in 2012, when Seymour Tradition, a non-profit travel softball organization focused on teamwork, discipline & community service, asked Seymour Pink if we would co-host a 5k. We were honored to be asked by such a fine organization – we held a race that year and a Seymour Tradition was born – the first Saturday each October we pound the pavement for pink to stomp out breast cancer! We offer a 5k (3.1 mile) Road Race through Seymour and a Kids Fun Run (approximate half mile) course. If you can’t make it to Seymour on October 5th you can still participate! Join us through our Virtual 5k or Kids Run and be with us in spirit. For the best savings register early! Early Bird Registration is open for two weeks July 1st through July 14th and we’ve kept this registration fee the same since before the pandemic – take that inflation!
