Dear Friends of Seymour Pink, In light of the on-going pandemic and in an effort to keep everyone safe and healthy, we at Seymour Pink have decided to postpone our Pink Night to Remember. It is our night to celebrate our survivors and spread hope, strength and unity within our community. We have chosen Thursday, May 19, 2022, from 6:00PM–10:00PM as our new date and time. Registration for this event will take place on Sunday, April 10, 2022, beginning at noon. This night has always been a very special night for us during the year and we aim to keep it that way. Our night will still include awesome food, complimentary cocktails throughout the evening, our signature wine glass, a few wine and beer samplings, a photo booth and a wonderful live auction and raffle. As an all-volunteer organization, we realize that our success wouldn’t be possible without the support of our outstanding community. We thank you for helping to make this truly ‘A Night to Remember’ and more importantly, for making a significant impact in the lives of those affected by breast cancer. For any potential sponsor, our deadline for replies is March 31, 2022. More information will be published soon on our event page regarding sponsorships and ticket information. This year, we’re inviting you to support, cheer on, and follow one of our great supporters, Michael Perssico, perhaps better known as his alias ‘Where’s Percy’ Michael is taking on an extraordinary feat this year all to raise funds to Seymour Pink, honor his aunt Cindy Morosko, and all who have battled breast cancer. For those of you who may have seen, or don’t fully know, the story of ‘Where’s Percy’ and Seymour Pink… let us share quickly. Back in April 2017, Michael started a Facebook page called ‘Where’s Percy’ where he put on the red and white striped shirt, went somewhere in Connecticut and encouraged his followers to guess where he was. All correct guesses led to a contribution to Seymour Pink. Well, this alter ego took off and “Percy” has shown up at so many Seymour Pink events, and races, over the years. Now, Percy is taking things just a step further five years later. The Mission Connecticut has roughly 4,800 square miles in its geography, so Michael is taking on running 4,800 miles in 2022. For all you non-mathematicians out there, that is about a HALF MARATHON, or 13.1 Miles each day. All monies raised will come to Seymour Pink. Learn More Visit https://runcanceroutofct.com/ to read “Percy’s” story and to track his fundraising progress, or make a donation. His donations are linked directly to Seymour Pink’s GiveSignUp account, so all monies come directly to us on a monthly...

By mid April 2020, we at Seymour Pink were increasingly concerned about how we could hang in there without funds coming in and the financial needs of breast cancer patients in treatment, growing. By mid April, two of our major fundraisers were cancelled and it became apparent that future fundraisers were in jeopardy. Then the “what if‘s” began… What if the next fundraiser is canceled? What if all of our fundraisers are canceled for the year? The fear of more “what if’s” mounted. Of course as a board, we made decisions that we hoped would help us continue our mission. Still, in the back of our minds was the concern of how long we could continue with no income through fundraisers. We underestimated the depth of human kindness and generosity of our community; a community that stretched across the United States, truthfully. In this post is an “apology” for the concerns and “what if’s” I had and the board had because, at the most difficult times for families, for individuals, for businesses, for us, your SUPPORT and your GENEROSITY would not let our mission fail! Individuals made small and large donations, businesses, hurting themselves, hosted creative fundraisers for us. The bridge to the future of our mission was built by the hearts of this community! Today, our fundraisers are back! Our golf tournament was held in August and we just this past month completed our 10th Annual 5K! So, as we begin November, we say to each of you, we are here today, we are back because of ALL of you, all you did over these last 20 months...
