In August of 2010, Seymour Pink, Inc. received notification from the IRS that we were the “real deal”…we were granted our 501 C3 non profit organization status. In the last 5 years, we have met some incredibly STRONG men and women who have heard those life altering words, “You have breast cancer” and their loved ones who have supported them on their journey. AND we have realized how POWERFUL this COMMUNITY is in the FIGHT against breast cancer. Your unending support is the reason we can help those burdened by the diagnosis and subsequent barbaric treatment. This year alone, we have financially assisted over 100 breast cancer victims and their families. To date as I write this post, we have raised $951,000 in the FIGHT!….That figure blows me away….and yet a little voice inside whispers ” Can we make $1,000,000 by the end of 2015? If you would like to make a donation in honor of or in memory of a special person in your life, might it be before the end of this year? If you would like to donate, please use the link below and include the person’s name and mailing address you wish us to notify. We will contact them letting them know you have made such a special gift in their honor. We will be sending cards out before the holiday season ends. Thank you, Mary Deming Founder/President Seymour Pink In Honor Of: Address of...

This past Monday night, we held our monthly Seymour Pink board meeting (open to the public) at Shady Knoll. I wanted to share with you some information from that night’s meeting. At this meeting, we granted financial requests amounting to $8000. To date, this year, we have financially assisted 100 men and women and their families! Additionally, we gave $10,000 to Smilow for 2 specific programs last month, as we posted here a couple of weeks. ago. All of this is possible because, YOU have said YES to SEYMOUR PINK and united in the FIGHT against breast cancer… Please remember that YOU make a DIFFERENCE…that your kindness, your generosity, your unending support is bringing light to someone else…that their burdens are lighter as a result of YOU..that GOOD will ALWAYS win over...

This morning at Yale/Smilow Breast Cancer Center, Seymour Pink presented a check for $10,000 to be used to support 2 programs associated with Smilow Breast Cancer Center. 1. Five thousand dollars was given to support Breast Patient Infertility Counseling. An initiative which would allow financially challenged young patients to participate in post-chemotherapy fertility counseling and treatment. This would allow women to seek their treatments for the breast cancer without affecting their options to have children, after treatment. 2. Five thousand dollars was given in support of Dr. Andrea Siber, who often works with financially challenged breast cancer patients from the Derby and surrounding areas, such as Seymour, (her office is in Derby) who need additional support when undergoing treatment. For many, this diagnosis throws them into a group of working poor so to speak…no work, no pay and insurance if any with high deductibles. It was very gratifying this morning to hear some of the work being done in these 2 areas alone. Once again this community’s FIGHT has its impact locally. THANK YOU to all who support Seymour Pink’s...
