The 43rd Marine Corps Marathon is in the books!
The impact it had and will continue to have on the lives of our team members, our marathoners, and all whom supported them along their journey to get to the start line and to cross the finish line, will last FOREVER.
So many of our Team Seymour Pink MARATHONERS have attempted to share with all of you their experiences and the impact of running this marathon has had on them..what it meant to them to cross the finish line.
For many, the words to adequately capture the emotions of the day escape them. I too am at a loss for words. So let me just say this, you truly have to BE THERE to understand this experience.
As a runner and also as a spectator, it is a life changing experience!
To all our team members, your commitment to sacrifice time, energy, to train for this marathon (often persevering through painful injuries), for those less fortunate, for those in need, for those who can’t run, for our loved ones who themselves have fought through the pain of breast cancer and it’s barbaric treatment, THANK YOU!
As a member of your support crew, I know I speak for all of the support crew…you have changed OUR lives forever!
With hearts full of gratitude, THANK YOU!!!
Poppy, Princess Aurora and your entire MCM support crew!
YOU ARE the Class of 2018 MCM Marathoners!
